I am a language, communication and writing specialist, with over 25 years of experience as a University Professor, with a PhD in Linguistics, and a BA in English Literature.

I have taught literally hundreds of university classes, both in the USA and the UK, on language, communication and how to effectively communicate through the written word.

I have helped countless authors of both fiction and non-fiction hone their craft, improve their messaging, and better engage with their chosen audience.

I offer technical expertise, and critical and thoughtful feedback, providing detailed input and reports for authors of all genres, and am adept in both American and British English, having lived and worked in both countries.

I am deeply connected within the publishing industry, having been agented myself, having served as a journal editor, I have worked with and for publishers, and have, myself, published 16 books--two of my novels were awarded prestigious Kirkus starred reviews. Finally, I am a full member of the American Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association.
